Linking Lives share their latest Impact Report for 2021-22 is now available. It highlights the areas that the charity has grown and developed over that period, as well as the impact that it has had on the lives of those experiencing loneliness. This impact is primarily through the befriending schemes that are run by local churches, supported by Linking Lives UK, and so this is one of the ways we want to honour them!

As a charity we are continually developing the ways we can support individuals, volunteers and churches to tackle loneliness. Since last year we have developed two new resources that you may, or may not, have heard of. These are:

1. Good Conversations Training for volunteers. (You can find out more about it here: https://linkinglives.uk/good-conversations/
We are actually running two free ‘taster’ events next week where you can find out more about this and if it might be something that local churches in your region might benefit from. It is particularly useful for those hosting Warm Welcome initiatives, Foodbanks and Coffee drop-ins, to name but a few. 2. The Power of One webinar. Click here for more info: https://linkinglives.uk/power-of-one/
This free webinar is ran monthly and is open to any one looking for encouragement and tips on tackling loneliness on an individual level. It would be great if you are able to circulate information about this to churches you are connected to locally. Finally, as the Impact Report demonstrates, befriending has a huge positive effect on both the people involved! As one volunteer said Volunteering has helped my well-being. It has improved my life and the social condition. It is one of the best things anyone could do with their spare time.” We are always looking for new churches to partner with to deliver this locally – if this is something you would like to explore further get in touch with Linking Lives here.
