SUMMARY:Messy Church Does Science - A WEBA CYF Network Training Day
DESCRIPTION:This WEBA CYF Network Day will be jointly lead by Messy Church’s Lucy Moore and President of the Baptist Union Dave Gregory.  \n(Science has been a large part of Dave’s life since his early years and played a role in him coming to faith.  He had a career in research at Imperial College\, the Met Office\, the Hadley Centre for Climate Research and the European Weather Centre.) \n  \n \nThe day is for all those who are involved with Messy Church or who want to explore Messy Church as a future ministry. It’s also a great opportunity for children and youth workers to explore new ways of engaging youngsters through science. \nThis is a whole day event which will include training Messy Church teams and individuals to share their faith through science\, as well as a chance to apply what you’ve learnt in the afternoon as part of a Messy Church Event at Milton. If you’d like to attend the afternoon event with your family\, get in touch with Alex Drew. \nTickets cost £15 per person to include tea and coffee\, but please bring your own lunch. \nClick here for tickets\n

SUMMARY:Network Day: I am the Lord who heals you
DESCRIPTION:Network days are provided by a church\, cluster\, or network within WEBA on a theme they are especially passionate about\, and want to share with the wider WEBA network. \nOur second Network Day for 2016 focusses on healing. \nSam King\, minister of Calne Baptist Church\, explains: \n“At Calne Baptist Church we have been longing to explore in more depth the issue of ‘healing’ in the life of the church. Many of us were inspired on a weekend at Lee Abbey 2009 by the then Director of Resource\, Martin Cavender. So as we looked around for help we discovered that Resource were running a programme which has had very good feedback. It is a delight for us to be able to welcome them to share with us over the weekend. If you have a desire to explore the topic of healing in more depth you are welcome to join us.” \nThis day of worship\, teaching\, and prayer will be led by Kevin and Anne Roberts of ReSource\, an Anglican charity which works for the renewal of people and churches for mission in the power of the Holy Spirit. \nwww.resource-arm.net \nKevin is Archdeacon of Carlisle and Anne Chaplain of the Cumberland Infirmary. However\, Kevin has recently been appointed as Director of Resource and Anne as Palace Pastor for the Bishop of Bath and Wells and the Palace Trust. \nTo book a place please contact revsamking@talktalk.net or phone 01249 812389. \nThe organisers are suggesting a donation of £10 per person towards the cost of the day\, which will include lunch. \nRefreshments will be served from 9:30am\, with the first session at 10am. \nDownload a poster to print here: \nDownload Now!
